Beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 22, two segments of the program Multiplication Fact Strategies will air on ASD-TV cable channel 14. The programs will air every Tuesday and Thursday at 7 and 8 p.m. In the program, Penny Williams, ASD Math Instructional Specialist, demonstrates strategies for supporting mastery of multiplication in a fifth-grade class at Muldoon Elementary.
Williams has successfully used these strategies in helping students master multiplication facts for more than 40 years. You may find these strategies helpful in supporting your child master the multiplication facts.
WorkKeys is a job skills assessment system measuring “real world” skills that employers believe are critical to job success. These skills are valuable for any occupation and at any level of education. It was developed by ACT with input from employees, labor organizations, educators and policymakers. WorkKeys results can help students understand the relationship between their academic studies and their future training and career choices.

Dear Frontier Families:
Welcome back to school! As you know, our school has been working hard to improve the success of all our students in every subject. Every school in the Anchorage School District has been working on this same goal. We are working to educate all students for success in life. Our mission is that our students can read with comprehension, write with skill, and compute and problem-solve with accuracy, and we are working to achieve this mission with every single student.
We are a secular and inclusive group of home learners and educators.
* All Anchorage, Eagle River and Girdwood homeschooling families are welcome.
* We plan to provide social and learning opportunities to local home learning families.
* We hope to create a diverse group of homeschooling families for field trips and activities.
* This group is not affiliated with any of the local or state run programs.
With over twenty-five years in education that includes more than a decade of experience in publicly-funded chartered homeschooling, Principal Scott explains the advantages to enrolling in Frontier Charter School. Frontier is not only parent-directed it is parent governed! You are welcome anytime to come to one of our family orientations... Call Margie at 742-1181 to reserve a seat!
